urban legends

What I have found out is that people can tell story’s about just about anything, but what about when they tell some one and it get’s passed around the whole city, when they are told to people, and it seem scary sometimes, those are called urban legends.
They are not always lies, but that is sometimes hard to determine, when they are told to certain people, they like to tell that to a lot of there friends. Then they tell some of there friends, eventually you will find out about it in someway.
When they say legend, they mean, a story that you should know, or you are not popular. When you find out about it, you can tell your friends about it. And then they will continue the chain. Usually urban legends are about some weird thing that doesn’t usually happen every day. Then it gets passed along person to person, group to group, etc.
When an urban legend is passed around like this, it eventually get’s changed in some strange way, like the story may turn completely different, or just one person might get there name changed in the story, usually what you hear is not the original story.
So in conclusion, a legend is just a story you have heard before, the urban part of the urban legend title stands for locally known story, that is sometimes the whole city, sometimes only people on the internet, via chat room’s, or people talking out side to one another
